We need progressive policies that invest in people and the planet, rather than adhering to outdated economic models that only benefit the elite. To ignore the damage done to our climate, our democracy, and our social fabric by these ideologies is to ignore the reality of our current global crisis.
Labeling all political thought to the right of center-left as 'harmful' is not only reductive but dangerous for a healthy democracy. Diversity of thought is essential, and the center-right plays a crucial role in ensuring that government overreach is checked and that the economy remains competitive on a global scale. Suggesting that half of the political spectrum leads to 'ruin' is an extremist take that prevents the compromise necessary for a functioning society.
